B UNKAGED?

My name is Barry Carter, and I am the proud owner of B UnKaged! ​​I have a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University #EatEmUpKats! I worked in the foster care system for almost three years as a case manager and currently work with children from foster care improve their social and behavioral skills while discussing the importance of mental health. I am a proud adoptive father as of recently who loves to craft and play with my dog Theo James in my spare time. 

Mental health is such an important focus of mine because I struggled so much with my own in college, but luckily, I had some friends who validated my feelings, supported me and encouraged me to love myself. It is impossible to be completely healthy if your mental health is suffering and I look forward to educating and supporting others through my work, social interactions, and personalized creations. Always remember to love yourself, acknowledge your feelings, be kind to others and most importantly, be kind to yourself. 

*Fun Fact, my business is partially named after my emotional support dog, Kage, who helped me through some of my toughest times in college.
